Depois de anos, decidi requisitar um certificado de originalidade deste A. Lange & Sohne Flieger FI 23883.
O serviço da A. Lange é simplesmente inenarrável, nota 10 com louvor
, diferentemente da Vacheron, e mesmo da Patek (isso é história para outra oportunidade)
Diferentemente de alguns outros relógios militares, como Omega, Cyma, Record, etc......onde nem todos iam para o front, ou seja, ficavam na intendência, por vezes, nem um único tiro escutavam
, estes modelos iam mesmo para as batalhas aéreas (muitos se perderam, por motivos óbvios)..............não eram produzidos para ficarem na administração.

Avigation Wrist Watches of the Reichsluftwaffe: A. Lange & Sons (Glashuette) Caliber 48.1
Lange adapted their 48.l calibre watch as a Fliegeruhr, an airman's watch. It had centre seconds, a black dial with luminous hands and figures, it did not have the up and down dial. It wound at 3 o'clock. The movement had 17 jewels and a larger balance wheel, 22mm in diameter, in nickel-steel. It had the swan-neck regulator. The case was 55 mm in diameter. A heavy leather strap was designed to be worn over a flying suit. They were regulated as navigation chronometers and tested, piece-by-piece, by the chronometer department in Gesundbrunnen near Glashuette. They had two different dials: normal hour hands and minute hands, or a small hour dial and a big minute dial. They were classified with 'FL 23883'. The FL stands for flight and the first two digits, 22, for flight control; 23 stands for navigation and 25 for radio surveillance. The equipment number was 127-560B (or A). As Lange ciould supply enough watches, these were mounted by other makers like Huber in Munich, Felsing in Berlin, Schieron in Stuttgart, Schaetzle und Tschudin in Pforzheim and Wempe in Hamburg and less known Metall-Lago in Vienna.
Application:
The demand from the Luftwaffe for accurate navigation watches was very great. The magnitude of the enterprise can be judged from the numbers made. Deck watches and Deck chronometers, 1941 to 1945, 200001 to 205445. Fliegeruhr, with centre seconds, 1941 to 1945, 210,001 to 216,980. The number of the calibre 43 watches made is not known. There were three Fliegeruhr of a different design. They had a dial with an outer ring of numbers to show minutes or seconds and a small inner ring of numbers to show hours. The centre second hand and the minute hand were of the same length, the hour hand was short to fit the inner, hours dial. The dials were black, the figures and hands were luminous.
Walter Storz of Pforzheim made a Fliegeruhr to this design with an 18 ligne Swiss bridge movement by Unitas. Lacher & Co. also of Pforzheim made a 22 jewel 22 ligne Fliegeruhr with a Deutsche Uhren-Rohwerke Glashütte movement. Gerhard D. Wempe had a 19 ligne Thommen Calibre 31 Swiss bridge movement in his Fliegeruhr. International Watch Co. of Schaffhausen delivered an 18 ligne watch which had an inner case of soft iron as a protection against magnetic fields in the cockpit
