Relato da experiência de um conhecido de outro grupo em que participo, de língua inglesa, sobre o atendimento em uma boutique Rolex em Berlim:
"Dear Gentry,
Let me tell you my experiences with Rolex in Berlin.
I took my girlfriend on a nice trip to Berlin. We visited a couple of nice places and went to the Opera one night, but I also told her that I had the intention to buy an Explorer 2, which she understands very well. I work 60 hours a week and I often reward myself with something.
So we went into a Rolex store.... It was pretty cold that day, so it was difficult to be elegant, but it was not necessary (the opera was). I was wearing some casual, but warm clothes and my Dan Henry 1970 on a nice sporty leather strap. The sales person didn't even bother to invite me into the store (I had to ring a bell), I told him what I wanted and the fact that I would like to go inside, since it is more civilized. He agreed, but he treated me as someone, who doesn't deserve to be there. He didn't really want to sell me any watch, although I could have easily bought a lot of models there. He stated that the Submariner and the Explorer are too sporty to be kept there, so they have no intention for doing so. However, he pointed out to the fact that there might be one in another store, but he did not even bother to call them.
I am not angry, I am relaxed now, but it has changed my attitude towards the brand. I never complain about services that I get, but when I feel little and unworthy, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe I should look at some other brands (I am madly in love with the orange GMT hand though)?
Sorry for the long story. I hope you do not mind that I have shared this little affair with Rolex."
Complicado, para dizer o mínimo...
