After the death of Willy Breitling in 1979 his family closed the factory doors, liquidated the machines, factory fixtures, and spare parts. They vaulted the remaining finished watches and more or less forgot about them. After many years, they resurfaced when a vintage watch dealer from Zurich, Joseph Iten, acquired the remaining inventory of wristwatches, pocket timers as well as some very rare prototypes. We became aware of this collection of pristine watches after the untimely death of Mr. Iten and purchased what were remaining which included 3600 wristwatches and 1200 pocket timers. We sold these to collectors worldwide until about 2 years ago. What you will find in this listing is a collection of what remains including watches that we have never offered for sale. This collection has been in our possession for the last 16 years stored safely and kept in original condition. Most have the factory label listing retail prices from the 1970's. We are ready to pass the legacy of Willy Breitling to the next fortunate collector. This collection is suited for a museum or advanced private collector.
Acho que depois de comprar uma coleção de mais de 3000 relógios e vendê-los durante anos ele se cansou e resolveu vender as coisas por lote mesmo hahahaha
